98% Recycled Materials
Sourced in the UK

All of our base raw materials are recycled. Only the glaze and colours are not.

Some of the materials are by-products of industrial manufacturing and reusing them within the existing process represents too high a risk of contamination.

In many cases the materials are sludges or very particles which are difficult to reuse by our suppliers.

Our story starts where others finish…with unwanted manufacturing materials that others discard.

Our story starts where others finish…with unwanted manufacturing materials that others discard. We take those materials and put them through an ingenious, low-impact process to give them a new life. The result is a new kind of material, combining recycled glass and porcelain, to create tiles and solid surfaces with a unique character and low environmental impact.

Our surface ranges are all produced by our skilled artisans in our studio in Preston, Lancashire. Each of our surfaces and tiles are pressed by hand into wooden molds using water as our binder. Surfaces are fired in electric kilns to sinter and bind the particles together. This is carried out at a lower temperature compared to conventional ceramic tiles and results in a durable and characterful surface product that is UV, fire and frost proof.
