In 2018 we introduced EcoTwill and in 2021 we introduced EcoTwist, both collections made from fully recycled plastic bottles, but our commitment to sustainability doesn’t end there it extends to all aspects of our business, from our production processes to our office practices, and from our local community to our global partners, and everything in between.
At the outset of their inception and continuing to this day, Panaz identified the priority environmental issues that face everyone.
- Climate change
- Biodiversity loss
- Pollution
- Deforestation
- Water Scarcity
Most manufacturing businesses have the potential to negatively impact all these areas, so it is important that you choose suppliers that are putting in place steps to not only offset their impact but also have measures to mitigate their impact.
We are proud to have been thoroughly audited and then accredited with ISO 14001 which is “…the internationally recognized standard for environmental management systems. (EMS) It provides a framework for organizations to design and implement an EMS, and continually improve their environmental performance. By adhering to this standard, organizations can ensure they are taking proactive measures to minimize their environmental footprint, comply with relevant legal requirements, and achieve their environmental objectives. The framework encompasses various aspects, from resource usage and waste management to monitoring environmental performance and involving stakeholders in environmental commitments. (See ISO.org)
Proud of our Legacy
Since inception as fabric suppliers in the UK back in 1986, we have constantly strived to put sustainability at the forefront of what we do.
At the time, this meant utilising revolutionary dry printing methods—a method that was unheard of until we trail blazed the way forward, ensuring no harmful chemicals or water was used.
Bee Hive.
We have installed bee hives on our site at Panaz HQ, Hapton to encourage bio-diversity.
Leading the way.
We have recently invested in solar panels at our head office in Lancashire and we are now running our manufacturing facility, warehousing and offices on 100% solar energy. Hybrid and EV vehicles are currently being rolled out across our entire fleet, and by 2025 we will have moved away completely from fossil fuels.
